About SGET
Standardization Group for Embedded Technologies e.V.
The Standardization Group for Embedded Technolgies – or in short SGET – is an international not-for-profit association of companies and organizations that collaboratively develop independent specifications for embedded computer technology. We are a registered technical, scientific and educational association organised under German law with its registered office in Gauting, close to Munich. Our purpose is to provide a platform to define and market open industry standards for embedded technologies.
How we are organized
The SGET Board manages the affairs of the association. It consists of four board members and a chairman and is elected by the general meeting for three years.
How we work
Standards are being developed in different formal working groups that conduct forums, technical exchanges and collaboration to develop unbiased technical information on embedded computer technologies. The working groups – or Standard Development Teams (SDTs) as we call them – prepare and document technical specifications or other work results such as implementation guidelines, software interfaces or system requirements, and leverage science, technology, and engineering to benefit human welfare and promote environmental protection, public safety, human health, energy efficiency, civil infrastructure, and other social purposes.
SGET e.V publishes the results of the working groups and promotes their application for the benefit of and without cost to the general public.
SGET is not organized or operated for the benefit of private interests, and no part of the organisation’s net earnings may inure to the benefit of any member, member company, individual or private interest. The Association’s funds shall be used only for purposes in accordance with the Articles of Association.
