The new TRIA SM2S-G3E SMARC 2.2 module family is equipped with the latest cost-effective and power-efficient RZ/G3E processors, manufactured by Renesas. The processor integrates up to four Arm® Cortex®-A55 cores, dedicated Arm Cortex-M33 Real-Time core, powerful Arm Mali™ GPU and a 4K capable VPU. The RZ/G3E family is the first RZ/G family with integrated Arm Ethos™-U55 NPU, helping developers to build powerful, cost-effective and energy-efficient machine learning (ML) applications at the edge. The typical design power ranges from 3 to 5 W.
TRIA SM2S-G3E provides fast LPDDR4 memory technology with inline ECC support, combined with up to 256GB eMMC Flash memory and high speed interfaces such as Dual Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.2 Gen 2 and PCI Express Gen 3. Various standard interfaces for embedded applications such as dual CAN-FD, dual-channel LVDS or MIPI DSI, HDMI and MIPI CSI for connecting a camera are available.
The module is compliant with the SMARC 2.2 standard, allowing easy integration with SMARC baseboards. For evaluation and design-in of the SM2S-G3E module, Tria provides a development platform and a starter kit. Support for Linux is available (Android support available on request).
